.ipk addon uninstall help

hi guys - i downloaded an addon in .ipk format, dont really need it know so how do uninstall it manually ?..tried it via the addons uninstall panel but its not showing in there..ta

have you tried ipkg/opkg (don't know what you have) from the command line?

opkg remove packagename

yes didnt work, cant remember exact name..i basically want to remove ts panel 4.9 and put on 5.3....tried installing 5.3 panel but would allow it i have blackhole 1.7.4 on vu+duo....what folders is the .ipk installed in ?

I assume you meant wouldn't allow it. Did you try that manually with the following swithces:

ftp ipk to tmp folder on box and then opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/packagename.ipk

thanks mate..worked a treat...didnt know what to rename the package...it was "enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_5.3_mipsel.ipk"
