iPhone iphone network problems

bust my old iphone 3g last week got another off a mate jailbroke it but cannot seem to connect on 3g comes up...(could not activate celllar data network, you are not subscribed to a cellular data service)....anyone know how to fix?

l had to reset set network settings on mine in general and was fine after m8
