Phone Unlocking iphone 4s imei

hey guys , a friend just rang me to say his wife found a brand new iphone 4s in town last night and asked for my advise , (ofc i told him to hand it in) but anyway , it appiers to be locked to o2 and not black listed yet , anyone know if imei change is posible on that handset yet?

Changing the IMEI carries a prison sentance of 5 years, you'll be lucky if you find anyone on any UK Forums to talk about doing that.

think the imei on iphones is in an otp chip , so you would have to change and program new chip .
