iPhone IPhone 3g Sat Nav

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 3G Iphon & would like to know how I can set it up to use it as a Sat Nav?

Noobie guide req'd.

you can use the google application thts on your Iphone phone which is pretty cool but it wont give you sound alerts which is crap if you guna be using as a sat nav. Best to buy cheap sat nav mate

I think there is misxed opinion over iphone and Sat Nav, as far as I'm aware Tomtom have a working version for the iphone but say they have no plans to release it as yet, so that says to me that apple won't licence it, for whatever reasons or tomtom don't see it as profitable.

I think the iphone is so easy to crack and so wide spread these days that they won't release it as they would lose many sales. Unlike the Windows based smartphones which there is a cracked version of tomtom for, but they just aren't that wide spread in the market and I think most users of a Windows smart phone are business users who would probably have no need for a cracked version of tomtom

Hopefully they will release something at some point but who knows.

there is satnav for the iphone, but it only has usa maps.
