internet problem

ok lads, can anyone shed some light on my internet problem,for the past 2 days i have been able to surf the net,but when i try to download or play anything in a live stream i just get freezing,i was playing poker and the screen just freezes on me making it impossible to play,and when i download it is downloading about 75% then freezing on me,i have been on to v****n media,about this prob who tested my connection and said 'i had some kind of intermediate signal and an engineer will come out to sort it ,the guy i was dealing with on the phone was murder to understand as i think he was from india somewhere(typical call centre),at the end of my call i didnt have a clue what he was gibbering about,so anyone know what this problem could be. cheers.
