So, they got electrical boilers forced upon them by the council, fitted by Thremaflow, who them blame the suppliers and customers for the bill hike.
Noticed a few houses here getting roofs replaced and they are removing chimneys while they are at it. Gas heating being phased out?
I wonder if these are "Smart" heating systems where they request a time slot from the grid to use electricity (it's the only was the current transmission and distribution system will be able to cope). Everything has to be connected to a level where you'll have to put clothes into your washing machine and then hope it will get a slot in which it can have the power it needs before you need your clothes.
