Don't mind Def Leppard..their 'Hysteria' album was good but all the others have been poor.
Does anyone remember the Steve Vai album called Passion And Warfare? That was an amazing album. He was definately one of THE best guitarists of his era.
Thought the Van Halen album OU812 was a cracker as well!

But seriously have you listened to Black Tide, they are a young american metal band, touring with Bullet For My Valentine, or In Flames they are great.
