Somebody in Glasgow is £294,000 richer thanks to the National Lottery – but they haven’t yet claimed their prize.
Lottery operator Camelot said the £294,622.40 prize from Friday, June 10 was won by a ticket bought in the Glasgow area – and now the search is on to trace the holder.
The winning EuroMillions numbers on that date were 3, 19, 20, 37, 48 and the Lucky Star numbers were 8 and 11.
Lottery bosses are urging players to check their tickets.
A spokeswoman said: “This prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life, so we are urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere that a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could be sitting on a fortune.
“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward.”
If no one makes a claim, the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to the Good Causes.
The biggest prize winner in the Glasgow area on EuroMillions was Angela Kelly, a Royal Mail worker at the Springburn depot, who won a £35m jackpot in 2007.
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
