how to get tps working (a/u)

as you may be aware TPS went down the other day well it's now back a/u using the following guidelines.


How to get TPS au

1. Go to Setup/ system settings/Time settings/Time Correction.
Ensure that the time is setup exactly. You can check this by going to timeanddateDOTcom
and making sure that the time is aligned exactly.

2. If you have already downloaded Mgcam1.24 to your TM then ensure that the following

attributes are set as follows

Var/Addons - Mgcamd folder set attributes to 755
Var/Bin - Mgcamd.ppc set attributes to 755 (probably not necessary but you can try)
Var/Keys - Mg_cfg set attributes to 755

3. Next you will need to edit Mg_cfg file in Var/keys. (Right-click on file name and select edit)
make sure the following is set correctly;

# key update (sum 01 or 02 with 04)
# 01 update only new keys, default setting
# 02 update all keys (used for valid PMK checking)
# 04 enable TPS au
U: { 05 }

Remember to save and exit.

4. Whilst in Var/Keys directory, make sure that there is no file present called TPS.au If there

is delete it.

5. Once all the above is performed, you can then either go to France 2, France 5 or ESPN Classic on

Hotbird. Remember to select the Mgcamd from the emu menu (blue button) and then save

(green button)

6. Within about 15-20 second$ the keys should be updated and the channel will be

unscrambled.

I use CCcam2.03. Can anyone advise what the procedure and correct files / attributes etc. should be.

I 've found the TPS a/u a bit sparadic recently, so i guess something is amiss at my end.

Not worked for me. The only diff in my .cfg was the U: { 5 }
Mine was set as 4.

Right it came on for about 30 seconds then went off again and hasn't come on since??

deffo needs to be 5 mate, or AU won't work for other channels

4 = enable TPS au
5 = enable TPS au + update only new keys,

Also does anyone have the files for the TPS AU as I think I might have deleted some by mistake.

I must have deleted something important from somewhere as I can't even get Premiere now : shocked2

Try removing everything from your /var/keys folder (well copy it somewhere on your PC lol, don't delete it).

Uninstall mgcamd from your dream, reboot, then install again, reboot, then try to AU. France 4 done it last time.
