How long did it take you to get all the Virgin Media Channels?

How many scans and days did u get it sorted in. Am up to a week and its still not sorted am doing a few scans now to get all the virgin media channels.

Got mine late last Friday afternoon and I think its taken me about 4 late evenings to get all the channels I wanted but thats thanks to all the people on DW who have helped and answered all my dumb questions.

I am not sure if its relevant but I set up a bouquet early on that later didn't seem to work properly so I may have spent unecessary time to get channels which were probably available in 'all services' list. I 3 re-images and about a dozen scan.

Well it took me a month of pissing about with boosters and attenuators, turned out i just had the booster in the wrong place (after 20m of cable into the back of my box, as opposed to before). I still haven't got the actual red hot channels, only the splash page for them.

Only way I found of doing this is buy visiting the dbox section and finding a scan done by a user in your area.

Open the services (dbox) and locate your missing channels, then use bouqetter with your dreambox services.

Manually add the missing services from the dbox info......some rare pissing about to get them but it does work. I have a full scan doing it this way.

The channels I'm missing now are ones I aint to bothered about, never could get the boosters/attenuators to work right for me.
The juncion box is in our electrical cupboard for the flats so I can't just take a look at it to see if I can put me on a better 'peg'

got all channels first scan getting them stable though has taken ages and still not 100% happy with bbc21 3 4 and the 2 bbc kiddies channels

Got all I wanted after 5 mins scanning. (DM 600 PVR. ) I have not checked every channel I have, (200 plus). but those I have checked, all work fine with no picture breakup. Radio stations work fine as well.

T4i m8 I don't suppose you would care to do a quick tut on how you convert dbox services file into a dreambox file. No point in all of us being deprived of 40+ year olds with saggy boobs lol!

It is quite a long detailed post, about removing zero's for the dreambox.

I shall write a tut on how I did it.......should be fun as it took me a hour just to get the dirty channels using bouquetter.

i have never been able to get sky box office, why is this ?

Not completely sure how it works, but I don't think SBO send a signal out until the day of the events (sometimes a few days), so most people end up scanning a few hours before an event.

I can't pick it up at all unless I manually add it though (same with a few others like a couple of the crappy porn channels) - once added they disappear after a few minutes though (tried stopping the auto update of channel list but doesnt help).

Best option is to try and get a service file from someone in your area - any your missing you can just manually add then.

hey guys, i didn't think i had missing channels?

All though i must admit there are a few channels that when i select them then they are black but thats stuff like edinburgh festival and news scotland, even though i live in newcastle......
