Thanks to all that have posted, I have run it through that panasonic delete thing and it secure erased, took about 40 minute, I have formatted it and formatted it all though I'd like to if I get the chance run it through some data recovery software to see if there's any thing on there at all, maybe in the boot sector or the like.
How ever I'm quite happy that it has wiped it clean but I'd like to check.
I can only format this in FAT32 and not NTFS, but can't remember if SD cards can only be formatted fat32 and not ntfs....
Thanks again.

Just tried with GetDataBack. Empty but previously used FAT32 formatted card, quick format to NTFS then back to FAT32, the photos were recoverable. To be honest, it was to be expected. With flash memory I found a format then changing the file system a couple of times was enough to prevent "basic" recovery programs recovering data (i.e. Piriform's Recuva and SanDisk's RescuPro). Though I have been meaning to retry it with those on Hiren's boot disc, I've not actually got round to it yet.
I'm able to format my SD cards and thumb drives to NTFSAll the micro SD cards I have had will only take FAT32 mate. Thanks to all that have posted, I have run it through that panasonic delete thing and it secure erased, took about 40 minute, I have formatted it and formatted it all though I'd like to if I get the chance run it through some data recovery software to see if there's any thing on there at all, maybe in the boot sector or the like.

NTFS is definitely a format option for micro SD too.It was a normal SD card. Will try a micro SD card when I get home from work.
What's the best way to secure erase a micro SD card, ?
Cheers.
