See below if you have a Hotmail / MSN / .Net account and have been
suffering an influx of junk mail recently...

I was reading my email this morning and I read some eye-opening
information.

I decided to forward to you because you may choose to do something about
this. If you use Hotmail or MSN or a .Net service you may be vulnerable to
having your personal information available to other internet users. Here is
what I read:

"In today's world we never know who has access to what information and we
seem to have no control over it. Companies such as MSN have done under
handed things. Did you know that about 2 months ago MSN added 2 little
boxes

in all the profiles? These boxes if marked share your email with other
users. One box, if ticked, gives other people the right to see your
information including your address. Now MSN has taken all the passports
that

were created before they added this and marked YES SHARE MY INFORMATION and
did not tell anyone.That worries me ... Lets keep our information safe and
out of the hands of just anyone!!!!! HOW to remove your name: sign into
your

email account (for those with more then 1 you have to do it for all of
them),
click on Options

Personal Profile
and scroll to the bottem ...
u will see the TWO added boxes - remove the check marks and finish up. PLZ
FWD

this to everyone who has hotmail - lets not wait until it is tooo late
(this may decrease all that junk mail that seems to have double lately)"

Many thanks davidh, just checked my hotmail account and the sneaky rats have done the same to me. been wondering why i've been getting so much junk mail.

Im fed up with spam, I am being bombed by it. I get between 70 and 100 per week on my pop account using O Express. I do not give my pop account out freely and cant figure out how its slipped out. I have blocked a few hundred but they just keep coming thick and fast and Im sure that its automated somehow. I have several accounts with Blueyonder but its my main one that they keep spamming (the one that I cant alter). Most of them do not have a return address so I cant bomb them or return them. I have been in touch with abuse at Blueyonder but they say that they can do nothing but they think that they are coming from RIPE??? As a last resort I have installed Spam Eater Pro but only about 50% is getting filtered. Fed up with it so I am.

get rid of spam in hotmail

HOW TO GET RID OF THE JUNK IN HOTMAIL

GO TO OPTIONS IN HOTMAIL
CLICK ON JUNK MAIL FILTER
CLICK ON HIGH OR EXCLUSIVE

CHECKED IT ABOUT AN HOUR AGO NO JUNK YET

The Junk Mail Filter is set to Exclusive. E-mail from addresses appearing in your Contacts or your Safe List will be delivered to your Inbox. All other mail will be delivered to your Junk Mail Folder.

thats all it does
