Hiren's boot cd convert to boot dvd

Anyone know how to do the the above, have a PC that needs backing up but the CD/DVD drive will only boot from DVD's. Have tried to make a ISO image from the CD and the burn the iso onto DVD but this only boot to dos rather than the Hirens menu.

Anyone got any ideas?

Why will it only boot from a DVD? What is the make and model, as this sounds very odd...

Faulty laser on the drive, unable to read CD's in windows. Lasers work at a different frequency depending on DVD or CD.

Not quite, they employ a different wavelenght. But anyway.

If you just burn the ISO to a blank DVD, this should solve the problem for you? Or have you tried that and it didnt work?

HAve converted my current bootcd to iso (using magic iso) then burnt it to DVD. This creates a bootable DVD however the Hirens menu does not start, instead caldera dos loads and other aspi drivers and usb drivers etc. Then I am presented with the A: prompt, I can browse to the DVD and trie to unharc whatever I want to use to noavail. Will try to get hold of an already created ISO and burn again to DVD

assuming your pc boots up ok you should be able to run hiren's boot cd from within windows
