Help Needed Please New 780 setup

Purchased 790T for a friend (I am satellite) he scanned okay got picture but weak?
So purchased new A780 looked at Firmware it said 08.2013
(But in menu didn't see where I could do online update?)
He scanned okay found providers got BBC
but other stations showed NO SIGNAL ??
Any help appreciated
Is there somewhere in menu to tell it to descramble??

the 790t does not work properly in a lot of areas.

Hello Joe, Thanks for reply, I did find out about A790T now sold and bought A780 but after scan it says no signal BBC channels are okay?
Any advice appreciated, could you advise on firmware?

Have you scanned correct provider/net I'd?

How are you connected to internet , wired or wireless.

Go to installation menu and see if you have an online update option.

These box3s are sold new with stock fta firmware.

Have flashed with latest firmware?

Hello Buzzer,
Thanks for joining in, I'm trying to help my mate, He has both a bridge for wireless that I gave him and network cable for wired, I now think it may only have FTA software I'm trying to find bin file and loader at this moment. Have to wait for him to bring box back before I can do anything

Thanks Deej,
It did need updating, which I could do for him loaded software and updated, couldn't tell if it was now working as do not have cable line, he has taken it away hopefully to live happily ever after.

Yeah! think you are right, he dumped that for 780, but now I think he wants to go Sat
