help need badly plz

can anyone help me plz i think i had a few viruses in me pc so i m8 give me avast anivirus bt its fcked everything up now the computer wont load after i run the anivirus i rebooted the com but it asked me for logon name and password i dont have a logon name but i jst put in my name & no password and the back round pic loads then it say EXPLORER EXE APP ERR :app failed to initialize properly ( 0xc0150002) something lke that is their any way 2 fix it

you could try last known good configuration or a windows repair install but the best thing to do is probably format it and run Kaspersky Antivirus in future

thanks i did try last known good configuration but it didnt work & im not sure how to use the win repair i need my bookmarked web sites & somethings i cant remember password for their in the cookies iof i install without formatin will it keep the favorites & cookies

try booting pc up in safe mode and then check if you can access system
restore-if you can restore to a earlier restore point

XP Repair install



Boot the computer using the XP CD. You may need to change the boot order in the system BIOS so the CD boots before the hard drive. Check your system documentation for steps to access the BIOS and change the boot order.
When you see the "Welcome To Setup" screen, you will see the options below
This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft
Windows XP to run on your computer:

To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.

To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.

To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.

Press Enter to start the Windows Setup. do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R", (you Do Not want to load Recovery Console). I repeat, do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R".
Accept the License Agreement by pressing F8 and Windows will search for existing Windows installations.
Select the XP installation you want to repair from the list and press R to start the repair.

Setup will copy the necessary files to the hard drive and reboot. Do not press any key to boot from CD when the message appears. Setup will continue as if it were doing a clean install, but your applications and settings will remain intact.

thanks crashuk2k1 but its to late i reinstalled windows lost most things i couldnt get on to the site until today i think it was down thanks any il keep it 4 next time
