Hi

Just went to power up my DM800 clone and it will not power up/boot at all.

I get nothing at all on the front lcd.

I have tried applying power x3 times still nothing.

The only thing i do have is the rear ethernet lights power on ?

Can not see anything obvious on the board, tuner seems secure etc..

Anyone any ideas ??

Cheers

Had the same on my DM500, tested the mains lead that goes into the PSU, had only 89 volts instead of the expected 240 volts. Borrowed a (figure of 8)lead from my cd player.....sorted. Worth just trying a lead if you haven't got a multimeter.

I have another box mate and that powers fine. NEVER heard of that with a mains lead and i'm a Sparky..

any outcome on this? i have the same issue!!! :(

no power at all, except the ethernet cable and the fan running.

help

i'll have a look.. is this a common problem? - also its brand new so would this have broken so soon?

If I do find a broken diode is this an easy fix?

I used to have the same problem... Pulled power out the back and nothing worked... Didn't boot... Not even a light working...

Try pulling the power from the wall.. It's the only way my clone switches back on

Can anybody specify the exact part I need to replace L36 on a clone. I have one receiver which has no voltage across L36. I know it is an inductor.

Mines like that, have to plug the power cable in and out a few times if it's been shut down. eventually it works though.

Credits to Johnny-Burrp from another forum and also Forhike.

Inductor values are as follows

L36 = 0.33UH 0805 ±10%
L37 = 0.56UH 0805 ±10%

Check the voltage at those inductors. You should read 12v on both terminals of the inductors. If you don't it is faulty.
