iPhone Help me to unlock iphone 4 please......

Hi guys, finally got my hands on an iphone 4. it is locked to UK Vodafone.

I bought one of those micro sim cutters & have cut down my tesco sim with no probs. (still works in my iphone 3g with the adapter) udated itunes to latest version, pop'd in my tesco sim & says invalid sim.

iphone 4 is running V5.0(9A334)
Modem is 04.11.08
Model MC603B

how do i unlock it so i can use my pay monthly tesco mobile sim?

Jailbreak?

5.0 is a tethered JB only so you know.

These are the only ones compatible with ultrasnow:

Just been having a good read ont tinternet & looks like im stuffed!!!!!! (for now)

will have to wait until a new version of ultrasnow or new gevey sim that supports my baseband.

Bollocks....... if only the guy i bought the iphone off haddnt updated to ios 5...... lol

or well, looks like i'll be sticking with my 3G until a fix comes out.....

Do you know if he jailbroke it before?

If he did he might have saved the previous SHSH at Cydia.

Get yourself Tiny Umbrella and then connect the phone and then try to download them from there, It's a longshot but it's possible you can downgrade to 4.3.3 for an untethered JB.

Additionally i think you might be able to then upgrade the baseband.

Luckily i got in tough with the guy i bought the phone from & he has asked vodafone to unlock it. just waiting for the conformation email then will see if it works when i connect upto itunes.

I just want to get it working for now, might think about jailbreak when one is available for my ios 5 baseband.

FYI........

got the email confirmation from apple, restored the phone in itunes & bingo, phone is now unlocked...... sweet.
