VU+ Duo help IPK install error

HI all,
my mate has a vu+ duo clone on vix 3.0 he wanted to put the latest rats plug in on his box... currently had the old version on.
so I talked him through how to remove the plugin in the plugin menu (but the icon was still showing in the plugin list.

I then ftp the rats_latest.ipk into his tmp folder and got him to install this.. via blue button / install local extensions..

however when he goes to install it gets the following

collected errors:
*parse_from_stream_nomalloc: escessively long line at 10 corrupt file?
execution finished.


why does this occur? how can I resolve?

Looks like the file has been corrupted in the download re download it and try again
