What software you using and what burner are you using.
Are you tying to write this file in udf format or as an iso.

I did'nt think there was an 800mb disc out yet.
a 750mb yes, which is a 90min cd.
i think that you have missed read it Taff, and that you are trying to put to much data on it.

If iam wrong then let me know, Because i will have a field day with copying DVDs if thats the case...........Gazer.

I could be wrong, but aren't 90 min cd's only compatible with certain cd writers? I'm sure when I looked into it my writer wasn't compatible so I didn't bother buying any.

Sorry TAFF what a plonker i am it was getting late, and i must of been on a different planet.......i was getting my (MBs) mixed up 800mb 90mins like you said.

Right down to business try using Nero 5.5 as you can set it up to 900mb which is what i was thinking of last night, and that would be great when they do come out,for doing me DVDs.....
anyway Nero is the one for you m8.......Gazer

doesent the writer have to be overburn compatable?anyway try nero as Gazer said and post back and let us know how it turned out.

If you are using Nero then go to preferences and then select Expert Features. Check out the Enable Overburn Feature. That may help.

I think it's his software not letting him do it.I had the same problem with easy cd creator.I now use clone cd and have no probs.Bye for now and regards Carl!

I reccomend Nuro 5.5 or summit like that. Not only can you get the OEM version for FREE thats if you give them a ring and blagg it but you can also over burn and fit a lot more on the cd. Basically it will keep burnin until it runs otta space. Depending if your correct about the data size and the cd size you will either fit all your data on the cd or you will get most of it on..Good luck !!

Its not much good to him getting most of it on if its a single file.
Taff, it may be a long shot but try converting the file into an ISO using Winiso first.

Success , thanx guys i now have my movie over 2 disks...i used nero 5.5 I assumed that an mpeg file was data disk but didnt look close enough when setting it up, it wasnt until i looked at my options that i saw a little movie strip icon under the heading of ' other formats ' . I selected this and had success.
Thanx again for all your help..all I need to do now is discover which is the best format I can use to play the movie on my main house dvd player (panasonic)..by the way enjoyed the movie 8))
