Have a look at the N.Yorks Police website. They have some
V.Interesting stats about dodgy caravans in the news section.
Something like 50% of vans stopped having faults or other serious
problems.

If you read it you, will find that it is 50% of those they checked, not 50%
of a random sample. They only waive anything which looks dodgy into
their checks. Anything which looks OK they ignore.
