just got an xbox360 premium 60gb, and im running it on a sony bravia hdtv, if i set the av cable to tv and plug in the component leads i get a clear picture but i i try using it set to hdtv i just get ghosts all over the picture.I thought id try hdmi so bought a hdmi cable and its the same with that ghosting all over i even disconnected all other appliances from the tv and had xbox alone still the same result. So the only way i get a clear picture is by setting the av lead to tv, but i know my tv supports all hd settings.

take it back to shop and tell em its fooked cus that shouldn't happen at all.
Then if the replacement does the same you know its the TV

Thats what i'd do anyways

found out the problem is due to my bravia lcd rear projector only being 50hz,and most games need to play at 60hz,is there any way round this barring buying a new tv.

There is a a PAL to NTSC converter for analog signal so I would think the same thing is aroung for the digital signal (HDMI) but might cost a good bit but would be cheaper than buying a new TV.
