Hardware Hard drive showing as raw wants to format

A friend has a Seagate GoFlex Home 1TB with a networking caddie. He said it's playing up so I tried to connect it up on my PC but it just flashes green on the caddie.
I took the Hard Drive and put it in my hot swap caddie and it's showing as raw and asking to format.
What is the simplest method to recover all the info of this or just to get it to work again?. I think it's got a fair few pictures he wants saving.

EaseUS has been recommended a number of times on here for data recovery.

It's recovering the files now, thankyou

Slight problem , its took 6 hours to tell me the free version only allows you to preview the recovered files, you can't recover them without purchasing the program

I have managed to recover a massive amount of data , some will be years old deleted files which I do not need.
But the problem I am having is, the files are all now renamed to say numbers. Is there anyway to simply recover the last lot of files as there was alot of music on his hard drive and now they all all named/numbered tracks in one folder.
I am using easeUS data recovery.
