HARD DRIVE PROBLEM WITH EX5000 and EX5100?

i bourt a eurovox 5100 back in november, and the hard drive would not work with my 5100 that came with it. i sent it back, and they sent another hard drive out to me, to which i had the same problems. but if i get my hdd from my eurovox 5000, put it in the 5100, it works fine ?now i have received 3 hdds for the 5100 an none have worked. any ideas people an have anybody had problems like this? i look forward to replys lol

what make of hard drive is in the EX500 ? first of all

I would have suggested youve forced a drive in and bent the connectors so box is bust unless you opened it and fixed it.

but considering your saying the hard drive works from your other box I think your buying a uncompatible drive ?


Western Digital 120 gb works great with the euro pvr boxes anything over 120gb does not work


Seagate and other harddrives have had reports of not working very well.

All I know is with every pvr box ive bought ive always bought the 120gb Western Digital scorpian 2.5 inch and never had any problems.
