Ive downloaded it does any body know the difference???

Is it a official Map or a User Mod Map?

the PLUS maps give u the major roads of europe. dont think there is any other difference....

disconnect all acessries tap the GpsMeter/BatteryInfo area then tap the version number to find info

As far as I am aware, I am using the latest TomTom versions.

Tomtom v5.210
Great Britain Map v605
Great Britain Plus Map v 571

The Great Britain map is more upto date than the Plus map (Euopean) one showing more of the new roads in the area that I live. The Plus map only has the major roads of Europe.

Unless you are planning to go abroad then use the Great Britain map. If you do go abroad you are better using the appropriate full tomtom map for that country.

Iv found that the plus version has the whole of the UK inside it and the postcodes as well. Postcode search is done by removing the readonly access from the folder on the memory stick.

The updates to the maps are not handled by the creators of the tomtom software they are teleatlas maps and would be gotton from them i would suppose. However with each release of tomtom so far there have been updated maps.
