I've got it now it good its ok if you are going on before 7pm you can connect after but takes a few trys. but you pay for what you get(sometimes )
free 24-7 is an offshoot of v21. read the forums on ispreview and the members forum v21. it does not make good reading. they limit the amount of time you can connect in a 24 hr period and if you go over the limit they disconnect you for 24 hrs.
it`s almost impossible to connect early evening. from today a ex subscriber to v21.
Just signed up for this ISP, During the day it seems to be a good connection, but after 6pm it does take a few attempts to connect. still, better than paying BT £14.99 some eves I was lucky to connect at all !
Well I signed up to 24-7 based on good reports from other users. However I find I contantly have problems getting on line with them and now they are changing their terms to 28 hours per week online and 2 hour cut off. I do not think this is a good deal, should have stayed with Freeserve.
The problem has been the same with all the cheap ISP's, they arrive with a fanfare and then gradual decline and bust. Some of them have been clear frauds but the others suprisingly dont seem to have been able forecast their running costs. What appears to happens is that they end up paying BT more than they receive in revenue.
Advised brother in law about this isp after reading this post. He sighed up 2 weeks ago with nothing but trouble. The helpline talked him thro changing the servers 3 times with still connection problems . He now wishes he had stuck with freeserve!
