Try recreating the key file for the map maybe? It worked straight off for me.

its not better than tomtom BUT it works great with no additional bluetooth connectors and things , well happy

Right ive had a few problems with this but now its all sorted so thought id post this if people wanted to put it on there phone.
Ive tested this and its working fine on N95

i used the UK map its alot smaller. mapid for this map is 1051



Connect you phone to pc in data transfer mode and double click the Garmin installer you download, it will start to transfer files to your memory card. When this is done copy the garmin folder to the root of your memory card (should have help and voices foldr in)

Launch GMXT, got to Settings -> About.

Make note of your "Card ID"

Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on GMXT About page.

Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.

NOTE: If your map is not included in the Map product list, select <custom mapset>, enter the corresponding MAPID and hit OK.

Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.

Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL

Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.

Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL

exit garmin and put phone back into transfer mode connected to pc

Put your newly created files to your SD Card\Garmin directory

disconnect phone from pc and now start garmin

Program should now recognize your built-in GPS

will this work on my N80 and what sort of memory does it take up?

Couple of questions Madlooney please mate,

Ive got 4.20 running great on N95 8gig, how do you install update,do you just install over the top? do you then have to use the keygen again or does it just update to 4.60 and continue to work without using keygen?

Has anyone got this working on or does anyone know if it works ok on a N81 8gig.

i think best thing to do is take the 2 .txt files you made with the keygen and back them up then install the newer update over. it shouldnt need a new key or anything i wouldnt of thought

I upgraded my version by overwriting the software and it didn't need to use the keygen again ..
