Samsung LED D8000 Series TV

Samsung was showing off more than 40 new TV models at CES 2011, including a prototype 75-inch LED TV, but the line that caught our eye was the oh-so-pretty D8000 Series. This looker is practically all screen - there's a barely there 5mm bezel surrounding the 46-, 55-, 60- or 65-inch screens. Wi-Fi is built in, as is a full web browser and other smart TV functions such as Samsung apps. And, of course, it's 3D capable, too.

Razer Switchblade

Though the Switchblade is currently no more than a concept project, it caused a wave of excitement throughout the halls of CES. The handheld Windows 7 system is essentially a pocketable gaming PC, with a seven-inch capacitive touchscreen up top and a customisable LCD keyboard down the bottom. Intel's Atom processor will run everything, though there's no solid information on further technical specifications right now.

LG Optimus Black

Is your pocket space at a premium? LG's new Android handset has nabbed the title of 'world's slimmest smartphone', clocking in at just 9.2mm deep (a whole 0.1mm thinner than Apple's iPhone 4), so it will fit in even the most skinny-fit of jeans.

Packed into its svelte dimensions is a super-bright four-inch NOVA screen, a two-megapixel front-facing camera and LG's Optimus UI 2.0 interface on top of the Android 2.2 operating system (with upgradeability to Android 2.3).

Motorola Xoom

The latest in a long line of tablet PCs intent on replacing the iPad as your entertainment gadget of choice, the Motorola Xoom has a few tricks hidden inside that sleek body.

The Xoom is powered by Android's latest offering, 3.0 (Honeycomb), which has been designed specifically for tablet PCs. There's a front-facing two-megapixel camera for video chats, as well as a rear-mounted five-megapixel camera that can also capture video in 720p HD. It will run Flash and it's also 4G compatible.

BlackBerry PlayBook

The first BlackBerry tablet, PlayBook, went on show at this year's CES. The seven-inch tablet features a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a five-megapixel camera on the back with a three-megapixel front-facing one, and an HDMI port. It will run its own BlackBerry Tablet OS designed by QNX, and will support Flash 10.1 as well as Adobe Air

Sony Bloggie 3D

Sony's pocket camcorder got a third dimension at CES, meaning users will be able to capture video at full 1080p in 3D - as well as 3D five-megapixel stills. And 3D images can be viewed on the 2.4-inch screen without the need for glasses.

Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo returned to CES for the first time in 16 years to whip us all into a 3D frenzy once more with another look at its upcoming handheld console. The 3DS will display games and movies in proper 3D without the player needing to wear glasses. It's out in the UK this spring.
