FTP won't login

I currently have a dm800hd set up, recently my friend asked me to put a c line inside his dreambox 500s.
So I took it and unplugged my dm800hd and plugged in his dm500s.
I tried logging in to ftp but it would say pass(hiddden)

It also says login incorrect.
But it connects to the IP address, I tried root and dreambox for user and password.

if he bought the box with a gift on it the guy would of changed the password , u need to reflash and start again

Is flashing a dreambox 500s the same as flashing the dm800hd or is there different procedures.

u have to use dreamup and a null cable , as u cant open ftp u cant insert an image in tmp and flash from the box

use the latest commando 15 image , with dream up tool along with null modem cable and a crossover cable saves a lot of time

you can erase passwd on /var/bin and rename Passwd.back to passwd
The pass now "dreambox" again

Nope!!

He has installed tuxbox or another admin files plugin, he can enter on admin files whit his remote control...
