Freezing and re-set issues

Keep getting a black screen and it shuts power off then reboots straight away, any thoughts?

Please state exactly what image you are using/set up etc.

Oh I've not a clue I'm new to this it's the father in laws box and he's mentioned something about rats that's he's read ?

Then you have no hope.
Rats is probably rats channel list.
If you have never had any dealings with a linux stb then you arew seriously going to struggle.
I suggest you start by reading the tutorials first.
