No! I just changed locale in settings to US.

After your 1 month free gold subscription has expired it reverts to a silver membership, login to live, then go to market place, redeem code.

I've done this twice to get me over chrimbo with out a prob.

Not clued up on Xbox live but the kids have now setup about 8 accounts using free 1month codes, can Microsoft see what they are doing and ban them? Or worse still ban the Xbox? It is not flashed.
