here is some settings i picked up on another site. as im new here im sorry if its been posted before. (i dont want to steal someones thunder). my mate tested the vodafone settings and has never been off his phone since but the o2 settings are untested so do so at your own risk. if you dont have a good knowledge of your phone then i would "not" advise trying this but if you are determined then at least make a note of your settings before you change anything. basically if you input theese settings you should have free browsing for life (however my mate informs me that downloads are also free on vodafone) good luck and let me know how you get on but "please" be careful.

Just tried this and it doesn't work .

Says Packet data connection not available

Not tried this but gprs is very slow.. DIALUP style..

Thanks for reminding me.. my sister asked me for an o2.. :)..

Cheers for tip.. will try later :)

This hasnt worked for years. ahh i remember the days when i used this trick on the old genie sims on the nokia 3330 lol. memories!

most mobile operators offer a free internet (gprs) package anyway as kalipo says, its basically a dial up service.

actually, gprs is the adsl, there was one before that, forgot what it was called, (might have been WAP1.0) - 3g is the new broadband - im bored

Most of these hacks were shut down around 5 years ago IIRC.

Hoppy54, have you got this working?
