For sale a Dreambox DM500s with a faulty tuner (some channels clear, some don't), comes with power supply, manual, remote and leads. Ideal for those in the know to use as a server.

Looking for £30 including recorded delivery to UK only.

never known a faulty tuner clear some channels not others ? on a sd box m8 , sorry l know that doesnt help but wondered if u have tried another image

This fault is sometimes caused by dry joints on U70. It can be found just below the tuner.
It supplies the switching voltage for the lnb 13/18v for the horizontal/vertical channels which could explain why some channels are clearing.

Channels that don't clear have low SNR/AGC and a high BER, compared to the ones that clear
e.g.
BBC1 SNR=60 AGC=83 BER=65
ITV1 SNR=92 AGC=95 BER=0

using the same image on another 500s and all channels are working fine
