Our regular pair arrived back a few days ago. I was feeding our dog in the
stables whilst they hovered around their nest in an old water tank above my
head.

We've had a pair of Blackbirds strutting their stuff around the house
for a couple of weeks now, haven't sussed where their nesting yet but
the buggers are close, they're at it just before dawn and just after
dusk.

Do Blackbirds pair for life and do the offspring return?, I ask because
we've had them for yonks, there was a nest in our flowering current bush
when the sprogs were young about 20 years ago, it was quite a thing for
all the children of the street to come and look at the progress of the
chicks.

Mike

We had a Thrush in the garden today as well, unusual round here.
