Fan control

I am using the tempfancontrol plugin. I have set the voltage to 1 notch and standby at 1 notch also but what I want to know is what does the PWM setting do? They are set to 0 by default and don't seem to do anything.

Does the DM800SE clone use PWM for fans or is it voltage controlled only? The fan is 4pin as is the motherboard fan header.

mine is just set for 3 notch's while on and everything else is off, my box is a clone as well.
