Eutelsat 48C @ 48 east inclined 0.4 degrees

11225 V DVB-S/MPEG-2 3065 3/4

Abu Dhabi Al Emarat

Saudi Sport 1 (Al Riyadiah 1)

I was amazed that I could get this as it is at the limit of my 100cm dish set up Eastwards.

Despite being inclined by 0.4 degrees the signals are still strong here several hours later.

TM5302HD + 100cm dish

Eutelsat 48C was launched on 12-04-1999 as Eutelsat W3 >>>then later moved to 21.5 east as Eutelsat 21A

booming in here also... TD110 on a TM6800HD SUPER+ in north west uk,regards mdt

Coming in on a sky dish here (NW) so it should come in if just part of a 1m is illuminated.

nothing here atm.. it must be at the peak of its inclanation now although it was coming in at 1.00am in the morning and its 12 hour cycles i think for the figure of 8 tracks. regards mdt

Gone here on sky dish and 1m, thought the wider beamwidth of the sky dish might keep it going, or those channels might be off .

I'm pretty sure I could get the channels this morning at around 8am. Now there's zilch.

I wonder if the satellite's being moved to a different position.

I was getting 60% Q signal this morning but gone now just scanning the active part of the Ku band for this satellite let you know if anything turns up.

just checked again at 5.30pm but still nothing. maybe it was just a test transmission to see how the bird did, regards mdt

I thought they looked very low bit rate & could well have been just anything sent as a test - repeated too I think but still it's a new location for feeds for now

agreed m8 the audio was a little ropey sometimes also but the more the merrier as far as im concerned. regards mdt

Yesterday evening there was what presumably was a feed at 11532V, 2.755.

It went under the name of ALKASS SNG1 but unfortunately was encrypted.

That one is on 47.5E and is up at the moment (it's a move from 11474V), quite a reasonable signal too but as you say, unfortunately BISS encoded.
