Keep hearing alot of companies sacking employees for sending funny emails around the office, seems to be the excuse to fire people these days. I mean you could sack half the workforce where I work & its probably the same around other peoples workplaces too. Someone needs to put a stop to it really before were all out of jobs the c**ts

It's not your PC, you don't pay for it and you don't pay for the use of the internet! If you have a company email account then it's probably because your company wants you to use it for business purposes! My employer has guidelines for the use of company email and I'm sure most others companys do as well. If you don't want sacked...don't abuse the system. It's as simple as that!
Don't get me wrong, we all do it! I wrote this on company time! But you should know what you can get away with and what you can't. If you get caught sending adult material round your work, you deserve to get sacked! That's what Yahoo! and Hotmail are for!

My company blocks webmail (Can't access hotmail etc etc from work) and scans all e-mails for profanity content. They just get blocked on the way in and they know you can't control that, but if you were to distribute it form your works PC, you'd be sacked. In saying that, they don't seem to bother about jokes and funny pictures.

My company also has a proxy filter so they know every site that you visit. And if you go to a dodgy site, it get's blocked! All porn, bookies, nuts, fhm, etc are blocked!
Its my job at work to decide which emails get through the mailsweeper. Its a thankless task because 80% is Junk. Spam mail wastes about 2 hours of my day. Back to the original point about the sackings people have to be a bit wiser & smarter, DON'T use your company email address for anything other than work. Any funnies should be sent to web mail & if your company block then access it at home.grogsy76 said:

and when they found out they wrote a script to block u trying to change the settings in firefox .........but..........if u get mozilla in a different language like french u can install it and then it won't recognise the enlgish script so u can still change the connection type to direct connect...........lol
