I hadn't figured out why reverse on the Hillman Imp didn't work or why it dropped out of 3rd.
The wedding was tomorrow. We'd opted out of buying a stereogram - bit too low-tech.
If someone had said we could watch summat on a 'tablet' while abroad we would have laughed.
A computer was serious stuff - I had to 'optimise' code to fit the program into 256 BYTES ffs
A weekly shop at the supermarket was done for £5. The Hillman Imp got filled up for the same.
Rent, nights out, fixing the motor and clothes took the remaining £10 a week.
And you try and tell the young people of today that ..... they won't believe you.
