eagle or dreambox

need advice please .
eagle boxes seem cheaper than dream . do you get what you pay for or is there other reasons

Eagle is the same as basic dreambox just a clone. Has excellent support with images etc. Can be picked up cheap.

Dream media make dreambox. As long as you stay away from gemini images all boxes clones alike work perfect. they are open source.

Hi M8

I have both, a Dreambox 7020 and a Eagle. The 7020 is more superior, as the Eagle is
a clone of the Dreambox 500. You can buy a Eagle for 89 quid. Like what was said
above it can do most of what a Dreambox can do. Unlike the 7020, the Eagle has no
hardware Cam, but use,s Software cams as does the 7020. The Eagle has only one card
socket and does not have a Hard Drive. Apart from a few extra sockets on the back that
the 7020 has i,d say thats it apart from differencies in the images. All in all though i,d say
the Eagle is a very good box to start learning with and its got loads of support. If you do
get a Eagle, start with the Eagle images as they too are very good, don,t use Gemini
images, as they will knacker the box up.
