dyson hose end cable clip

Hi guys anyone know how to replace a dyson cleaner hose end cable clip?
cable hook.jpg like this one. my original clip broke off and I cant see how the new one goes on, it wont go over the ends

Taken from the ebay advert,

"Genuine Dyson hose end to fit all DC14 DC07 models. This Hose end is a genuine Dyson hose end.

If your cable clip or fixing clip is broken on the bottom of your hose it is simple to pop the old one off and replace it with this one, no need to replace the whole hose
The dc14 model just pops off however the dc07 model you will need to cut a small portion of the hose with the old clip off and then glue hose into new clip

mine is a DC04 cheers I think this one may need to be cut but if that's the case I will buy a new hose as I don't want it glued togeter

Just had a look at the missis dc04 and that part just slides up and down the hose.. had a do screwing it but no joy so i pressumed you will have to get the hose and clip
