Drive shows rom ver 47dj

Hello hope someone can help.

I have tried to do the firmware flash on my Hitachi drive but when I run the software it starts backup and then reports unsuported drive. The DVD shows rom vers. 47dj is this different to th47d ?

If not can someone tell me what is going wrong? Drive is showing in Windows but I can't see any directory when a disk is put in drive. Is this normal?

do right click, eject that way you know if your patching you 360 drive or another drive e.g. a dvd writer

Think it may be a mode b thing

I think it may be a case the drive is not going into mode B. I can see the drive in windows but can't open disks in it. I boot the drive with "Slax Boot Disk" but not sure drive is being recognised by it as if I go into Linux can't see drive there.

What do you think?

Sorted now. Drive was not going into mode b as suspected.

Had to do the cross wire method.

Cool though now its done. Just need to get some backups done.

Going to have to change my drive and disks though. Have an NEC drive so probably no good and bucket loads of Infinity DL disks also no good. (Well I couldn't get them to work anyway.)
