Drive replacement problem

herbs

Inactive User
I've been at this for hours now. Starting to piss me off.

My Hitatchi 47DJ started skipping so I bought a 59DJ to replace it. I would have got a Samsung, but that's what was available. It came from a mate who got it off ebay to replace a Benq just before the Benq FW came out. He didn't need it anymore.

I have the latest firmware toolbox. I read the firmware from the old drive and copied the key out of it. I booted with the new drive, selected the 59_16s.bin firmware, replaced the key, and flashed.

Now when I start the xbox I get the bottom right red light coming on, apparantly this indicates a hardware problem. I tried flashing back to the original 59 firmware, then back to the ixtreme and it has made no difference. The xbox still works with the old drive.

Any ideas please? Is that the error you would see with a bad flash/wrong firmware?

Thanks.

Your Xbox needs to think that the drive is a 47DJ. You need to spoof the new 59DJ to look like a 47DJ using firmware toolbox.
