Dreambox setup

I am struggling to set up my satelite Dreambox 500. I am not sure what satelite or flash image to use.

Theres plenty of images to choose from for the 500s, gemini is a good image to use altho be wary of the new image 4.3 if your box is a clone. To be safe I'd go for the gemini 4.1 image..
You,l need afew more posts tho to go into the downloads section to get a image....

where are you in the world? ie. what country you live in? it will help decide on what satellite you will use..

images are many, it depends on which 500 you have? 500s or 500+?

the dreambox is a DM500-S DV3. The location I am in is Lancashire

i agree the gemini 4.1 image is ok for your box mate

english satellite is astra 2 at 28.2 degrees east, mostly encrypted stuff though but there is also 300 free to air channels also.

nabilosat 0.8 maxvar is one of the best images for a 500s

well tried tons and 4 me it has to be pb eniga 2.0, great for novice.
just flash, set ya channels. blue button has excellent selection of cams, right upto date keys, very simple to use.
its the only one ive found that once flash there is no need to be conected to a pc for keys etc
i will put in in downlods 4 u, enjoy
