Downloaded some files , so i know its o\k
I got Camd, but don,t think there are any keys , if there are they don,t work, i,m
using my Diablo at the moment. Key Install ?? Which cam should i download and
how many can we have at any one time.
Last but not least , whats the quickest way to delete and sort channels as at the

You can use Bouquet Wizard or DreamboxEdit to create and edit bouquets. You can also use the built in bouquet editor.

MENU > SETUP > SERVICE ORGANISING

Regarding cams, I've never used any hardware cams so can't help you there. If you mean softcams, then install mgcamd_1.25. Most images have a download function, usually Blue or Green button, which allows you to download emu and install them in seconds but your dreambox needs to be connected to the internet for that, i.e. conencted to a router or modem.

You can also install them manually, mgcamd_1.25 is -->here<--

All you need now is the keys or SoftCam.key file to put in /var/keys.

The keys to the various packages are usually posted in the stickys or you can set the cam to auto update the keys.

If you have the tar file (i.e. mgcamd.tar.bz2, mgcamd.tar.gz, etc.)(you can get it from the link in my previous post) you can copy it to the /tmp folder on the box using a normal ftp client or DCC.

Then you use the remote and you need to do a MANUAL INSTALL. This is always in the ADDONS menu and then MANUAL INSTALL option. It will look in the /tmp folder and see the mgcamd file, you select yes to install it and it installs it.

You then need to ftp back to the box and copy the proper key files.

Hi DF

When in dcc , then into ftp, two screens pc on left and box on right , where do i drop
the softcam ( in tmp\var ) cos i,m making a right b*llocks of it. Could you run me
through it please, all the way to ftping back . When i put softcam into temp, its not
showing in the box temp. ( temp\in ) ????

Cheers

PS. Got a hammer ??

So you've downloaded the mgcamd file here...

https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=32379&d=1190319130

When you load up DCC and go to the FTP tab, you get a split window.

On the left - dreambox
On the right - your PC

On the left side, double click on /tmp.
On the right, locate the mgcamd file that you downloaded.
Click it once then click the blue arrow that points left inbetween the two windows. The mgcamd file should then transfer to the left side.

Now go to the addons menu on your image and select manual addon.
The mgcamd file should be there and you can select it to install it.

Hi D\F

I have a var/keys file on the box, but not in dcc screen, i,ve got the softcam to put
in but can,t find var/keys. Also when i put in the cam , do i put it into the script
editor, if so, even when i reboot, the common interface comes back and not the
mgcam.1.25.
