I'm in the market for a NAS and am reading horror stories everywhere i go about them.
so I'm contemplating not opening up my 2nd DM500s box and jumping straight to a DM800HD clone and mounting a HDD inside it.
Might even go for the DM500HD clone when it comes out as it has a bit more processing power (400MHz over 300MHz, can someone please confirm this)
was wondering if i could get some benchmark results first with regards to transfer speeds.
Would appreciate it if you guys could mount your DM800 HDD, transfer a file from PC and/or another dreambox and post your transfer speeds.
Please also make your networking setup known as well as what drive you are using . ie. external USB drive, eSATA internal drive etc.
