here are a couple of questions & answers from our local community magazines diy page [they are real]

Q. i have a mirror which i want to fix to the wall but dont know where to start
can you help
A. assuming the wall is brick you will need to drill some holes into the wall, but must check first that there aren`t any hidden pipes or wires. look for visible clues such as taps or plug sockets nearby. pipes or wires will normally run vertically or horizontally. you could borrow a pipe and wire detector from us along with other tools and PPE.

Q. what is PPE
A. PPE stands for personal protective equipment, to hang a mirror you would
need safety goggles, dust mask, and ear muffs or plugs as making a hole in
masonary is extremely noisy. make sure children and animals are in a different room while you drill holes to protect them from dust and noise. try to catch the dust in a sheet or hold a vacuum under as you drill{shadow vacuuming}

what makes it more funny is that the question most of the people in the area would ask is not how to fix a mirror, but where do i get my next fix :STIG:
