divx on dvd player

is it possible to play divx discs on advd player if so which one`s

mick i dont thinks its possible seen ur post went and tried 3 stand alone players they couldnt reconize the data,they will play on dvd rom on pc if u have a ** out you can watch them on ** or what you could do is convert them in nero to vcd but some of the films u get of kazaa arnt compatible i have found, so somtimes i use dvd movie factory to covert them but the frame rate has been dropped that much 11-12fps on some of the movies the quality is poor hope this helps

digimon0000<br />if this is true why do file sharers use it so much there must be a market for such a player.<br />the picture quality is almost as good as dvd but on a 20p cdr not a £4 dvdr.

There's software available soon to play divx movies on a CDR from a PS2... or so i read somewhere.<br />I'll try and dig up the link and post it here.

It would be great if somebody brought out a divx mod for DVD players....you could then convert DVD to Divx and burn to regular CD's?

it is possible to convert divx to vcd or svcd with very good results all that is needed is virtualbub and nero burning rom
