The winners of a bumper £45m EuroMillions jackpot have been revealed as a 22-year-old couple due to be married this September.

Cassey Carrington, a supervisor at Iceland, and Matt Topham, a painter and decorator, are both from Stapleford, Nottingham. They described their shock after scooping the huge prize, saying that they intend to share the wealth.

The lucky couple, Cassey Carrington and Matt Topham, are due to marry in September.

“We will be looking after the people close to us," said Cassey. "It is amazing to be able to tell my Mum and Dad that I would pay off their mortgage. My Dad is a big Porsche fan and when I was a little girl I always said to him that I would buy him one, one day. He will now get his dream car.”

“We can help friends get a house, it is so difficult these days to get a deposit and mortgage so it’s great we can help them. Also Dad can finally hang up his paint brushes and relax."

The couple can now afford their dream wedding, after describing a previously modest lifestyle.

“I had made the invitations and was starting to work on the centre pieces, all to save money," Cassie admitted. "We can now get a big firework display and some entertainment in the evening. It will be our dream day".

Cassey said that she plans to buy an Aston Martin and pursue her ambition to become an architect. "I think I am going to build my own house intead of buying one," she said. The couple struck gold after matching up the five main numbers and two Lucky Star numbers on 7 February. The sum is the seventh largest jackpot to ever be won in the UK.

The announcement comes three weeks after Gareth and Catherine Bull scooped more than £41m in the EuroMillions, the pair publicly stating that they planned to buy a new carpet with the winnings. The total puts Cassey and Matt ahead of Wayne Rooney (£37m) on the rich list, also eclipsing musical heavyweights Kylie Minogue, Mick Hucknall and Pete Townshend (all £40m).

Despite the enormity of the winnings, it ranks far behind Scottish couple Chris and Colin Weir- who picked up a EuroMillions record £161m in July.

if i won 45 million i would not let the begging letters worry me, as i would still keep sending them

Not far from where I live, too. Don't know the lucky beggars, but the best of luck to them. I expect there'll be some queues of folks with begging letters already camped out.

I think it's fantastic, I hope they do all the things they want and stay together for a very long time. Nice to see a young couple win.

I thought it was good to see a struggling couple win, rather than hearing about some well off couple, with their own business, who probably don't need the money, winning

Good for them and I wish them the best. It's nice to see someone young win it with a full life ahead of them to enjoy.

Where did they buy there tickets from?
Soon as i find out im gonna buy from there :)

good to see a young couple win it rather then the usual coffin dodgers that seem to win big.
