Communial Setup in UK

I've asked similar question before for Spain, but hopefully this question will allow a more difinitive answer than what I amanaged to get for Spain.


My father has SKY as an option at his flat in London. He has checked and the feed is connected. If I were to get him a 500s would he be able to get anything worthwile in addition to the Freeview he already enjoys. If he could, would it be possible for someone to direct me to the list of available channels.

In short no.
With a valid subsription, he could receive everything on a DM500 that he could using a standard sky stb.
So, if he's really after sky then he would be better off appraoching sky for them to install it.
