cifs recording

would it be possible once you've got the network drive mounted, you could then mount it again into the dir for a usb drive so the TM would be set as recording to that usb dir, but would actualy be sending over network rather then saving to usb..

something like
mount --bind /var/mnt/hdd /mnt/usb2/movie

no idea if that would work on TM might be wrong way round aswell :D
but its what i used on my debian serv when i needed to change where something was saving to...

Thats pretty much the stage I got up to it seems to me that there is not option to record to external storage.

Within the usb setup you choose were you want to record to and that does not include an external hardisk. You would somehow need to add an item to the menu.

The tm9100 has thiss option but not the tm600 I believe.

So thats as far as I got and gave up
