Last Christmas girlfriend had asked her mum and dad for a pink mini ipod for part of her christmas. As the nano had just come out the mini's were in short supply and couldn't find a mini ipod anywhere on net let alone a pink one. Eventually we found a website that said it had some in stock and her mum promptly ordered it. After weeks and weeks (christmas came and passed) of it not being here and customer services saying it would be here soon it was decided to cancel order.
It turned out the website had been set up over the christmas period as a complete scam and were just taking people's money. Now it was a professional looking website there was no way of telling it was a fraud.
Luckily it was bought with a credit card with insurance against fraud. So all money was given back by bank.
Just something to look out for this Christmas, try and buy from a reputable source and with a card thats insured against fraud.
